I have lots of feelings about doctors and I was feeling frankly terrified the night before the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ILPQC) in May. What on earth was I, ”just” a doula and Lamaze teacher, doing all alone in Springfield on a Tuesday night? I would be attending the OB Face-to-Face Meeting the next day — would the doctors be nice to me?
This is a story about going to the place and meeting the people — even if you are an introvert who doesn’t like big crowds! I learned so much — about perinatal health, about how to get things done, and about how to get out of my own way and do the thing.
